Dubuque, IA – The Dubuque Fighting Saints host the Cedar Rapids RoughRiders on Saturday night in their final exhibition matchup of the 2026-27 preseason.
Here are five things to know ahead of the matchup:
1. Final Fixes
The Fighting Saints play the last of four preseason games on Saturday, finishing the exhibition schedule ahead of Thursday's season-opener against Lincoln.
Dubuque enters having dropped its previous two exhibition games against Chicago and Cedar Rapids.
2. Saints Specials
The Saints have scored once on nine power-play chances in the preseason, with Olle Därth converting the only tally on the man advantage.
Dubuque has logged a strong penalty kill in exhibition play, stopping six of seven opposing power plays.
3. Home Helping
The lone Saints preseason victory so far came on home ice on Sept. 3 against Chicago. The Saints scored four times that night, including a pair from forward Max Lind.
Dubuque finishes the preseason with Saturday's home matchup against the RoughRiders at ImOn Arena.
4. Dubuque Details
Luke Carrithers stopped 20 shots in his preseason debut on Friday at Cedar Rapids before Brandon Wright made five saves on five shots for Dubuque.
Carrithers played his first game action for Dubuque on Friday with the Saints allowing 18 first-period shots to the RoughRiders.
5. Road Riders
Nate Chorlton scored the decisive goal in Friday's matchup between the two teams, a power-play goal in the first period for Cedar Rapids.
Chorlton scored six goals over 61 games last season, splitting time with Chicago and Cedar Rapids.
