Mark Plantery serves as a scout for the Dubuque Fighting Saints and brings decades of playing, coaching and player evaluation experience to the organization.
A native of Thorold, Ontario, Plantery played junior hockey with the Hamilton Fincups and Windsor Spitfires and represented Canada internationally, earning a silver medal at the 1976 World Junior Championships.
Plantery went on to play seven seasons professionally, appearing in nearly 400 games across multiple professional leagues, including 26 NHL games with the Winnipeg Jets.
Following his playing career, Plantery became extensively involved in youth hockey and player development. He has served in leadership and coaching roles within Illinois youth hockey and has worked within the Amateur Hockey Association of Illinois player development process and Central District evaluations.
Plantery also serves as Director of Hockey for Dubuque Youth Hockey, further connecting the Fighting Saints with the local hockey community.
His extensive experience as a player, coach and evaluator provides the Fighting Saints with a valuable perspective in identifying and projecting young players.
