Josh Starr serves as Broadcasting and Media Relations Manager for the Dubuque Fighting Saints, overseeing the organization’s broadcasting, media relations and communications efforts.
In his role, Starr serves as the primary broadcast voice of the Fighting Saints while also managing media relationships, interview coordination, game notes, credentialing and other communications surrounding the organization. He plays an important role in telling the story of the Fighting Saints throughout the season and connecting the team with its fans, media partners and the greater Dubuque community.
Prior to joining the Fighting Saints, Starr spent two seasons broadcasting in the North American Hockey League. He most recently called games for the Philadelphia Rebels during their inaugural season in the NAHL after previously serving as a broadcaster within the Danbury Hat Tricks organization, covering teams across the NA3HL and FPHL.
Starr graduated from Penn State University in 2021 with a degree in Broadcast Journalism. While at Penn State, he served as General Manager of the university’s student radio station, CommRadio, where he gained extensive experience in broadcasting, production and sports media.
A native of Broomall, Pennsylvania, Starr has continued to expand his role within the Fighting Saints organization through his work in broadcasting, media relations and organizational communications.
