Dubuque Fighting Saints

John Kaljian joined the Dubuque Fighting Saints as an Assistant Coach prior to the 2026–27 season following the conclusion of his professional playing career.

Kaljian played collegiately at Adrian College, where he was part of the Bulldogs’ 2022 NCAA Division III National Championship team. A respected leader throughout his collegiate career, Kaljian was selected as Adrian’s team captain for the 2023–24 season.

Following college, Kaljian continued his playing career professionally, including time with the Macon Mayhem of the Southern Professional Hockey League and the Athens Rock Lobsters of the Federal Prospects Hockey League. He appeared in 47 professional games during the 2025–26 season before transitioning into coaching.

Away from the rink, Kaljian also developed professional experience in the business world, working in real estate while playing collegiate and professional hockey.

His combination of championship experience, leadership and a recent transition from professional hockey provides Kaljian with a strong connection to the development process Fighting Saints players are navigating.
