Evan Dixon serves as Head Coach of the Dubuque Fighting Saints after being promoted to the position prior to the 2024–25 season. Dixon originally joined the Fighting Saints in 2019 as an assistant coach and was elevated to Associate Head Coach prior to the 2022–23 season. His continued progression within the organization has provided him with a strong understanding of the Fighting Saints’ culture, player development model and expectations for success.
During his time in Dubuque, Dixon has worked under multiple coaching staffs while playing a significant role in player development, team culture and the advancement of Fighting Saints players to the collegiate and professional levels.
In 2022, Dixon was selected to serve as an assistant coach for Team USA at the World Junior A Challenge, helping the United States capture a gold medal.
Prior to joining Dubuque, Dixon spent two seasons as an assistant coach at the University of Wisconsin–Stevens Point. He was part of the coaching staff that helped the Pointers complete an undefeated 2018–19 season and capture the NCAA Division III National Championship.
Dixon also played four seasons at UW–Stevens Point, serving in a leadership role and helping the program reach three consecutive NCAA Championship games. As a senior, he captained the Pointers to the 2016 NCAA Division III National Championship while earning the NCAA Elite 90 Award and WIAC Max Sparger Scholar-Athlete honors.
Following his collegiate career, Dixon played professionally with the Fayetteville FireAntz of the Southern Professional Hockey League.
