Dubuque Fighting Saints

2024-25: Merrill skated in 58 games for the Fighting Saints, logging 5 goals and 16 assists. Merrill added 101 PIM to his career total, which finished the season at 227 and ranks fourth in Saints history.

2023-24: Merrill skated in 55 games in his rookie USHL season, adding 8 goals, 18 points and 126 PIMs.

Before Joining Saints: Merrill made the move to junior hockey in 2022-23 playing in the NAHL for both the Minnesota Wilderness and Janesville Jets where he appeared in 14 combined games. Merrill bounced around several AAA programs as a youth, starting with the Phoenix Jr. Coyotes 14U squad in 2019-20. He then joined Mount St. Chalres Academy for the 2020-21, the North Jersey Avalanche for his 16U season in 2021-22, before splitting time between the NAHL and the Bishop Kearney Selects 18U AAA program in 2022-23.
