Dubuque Fighting Saints

2021-22 (USNTDP): Powell returned to the NTDP as a U18 and asserted himself from an offensive standpoint further, besting all of his numbers from the season prior. Powell started the season posting his first career multi-point game in just the third game od the season on 10/09/21 against Muskegon with a pair of assists. He netted his first career USHL goal two months later on the road in Madison on 12/04/21. He ended the season with 1-8—9 against USHL opponents in 25 games. In 58 games for the NTDP full schedule (USHL, International, NCAA), Powell posted 1-13—14 and posted a +25 rating.

2020-21 (USNTDP): Powell made his USHL debut on 11/27/20 against the Chicago Steel while with team USA's U17 program. He recorded his first career USHL point with an assist against the Green Bay Gamblers on New Years Eve of 2020. He closed the season with assists in two of the final three games. He ended his first USHL season with 3 assists in 29 games against USHL competition. In 45 total games for the National Development Program (USHL, international, NCAA, NAHL, Prep), Powell posted 2-7—9 in 45 games.

Before Joining Saints: Powell spent 2022-23 with Boston College where he was teammates with his brother Eamon after spending two seasons with team USA National Development Program from 2019-2021. He scored his first career NCAA goal and point on 02/03/23 at UMass Lowell and appeared in 21 games. Before heading to join the NTDP, he skated with the Rochester Selects AAA team where he recorded 17-31—48 in 63 games.
