2026-27: Ekman was named the 16th captain in Fighting Saints history on Aug. 20, 2026
2025-26: Ekman skated in all 62 games for Dubuque, finishing fourth on the team with 23 goals and 48 points. Ekman announced his commitment to Minnesota State Mankato during the season.
2024-25: Ekman played 44 games for the Fighting Saints in his first USHL season, scoring 3 goals and 13 points.
Before Joining Saints: Ekman played 2023-24 in his native Sweden for Djurgardens IF in the J18 league. He skated in 17 games and scored 7 goals and 21 points. Ekman has never previously played in North America. Ekman's father, Nils, played 264 NHL games over five seasons.
