Peter Samargia serves as Goaltending Coach for the Dubuque Fighting Saints and has been part of the organization since 2019.
Samargia brings extensive experience developing goaltenders across junior, collegiate and youth hockey. He is the owner of Attitude Goaltending in Minnesota and has worked with goaltenders throughout the USHL, NCAA and Minnesota hockey communities.
Prior to joining Dubuque, Samargia spent seven seasons coaching goaltenders in the USHL, including time with the Des Moines Buccaneers. Throughout his coaching career, he has helped numerous goaltenders advance to NCAA Division I hockey and beyond.
Samargia played collegiately at the University of Minnesota and Augsburg College before playing professionally with the Adirondack IceHawks of the United Hockey League.
A native of Minnesota, Samargia was also a member of Eveleth-Gilbert High School’s 1998 Minnesota Class A State Championship team. He earned a degree in Business Administration from Augsburg College.
His experience, technical knowledge and long-term relationships throughout the goaltending community make him an important part of Dubuque’s player development program.
