The Fighting Saints have traded affiliate goaltender, Michael Hrabal ('05), to the Omaha Lancers.
The Lancers will also receive a 2023 Phase I - 9th round draft pick and a 2024 Phase I - 10th round draft pick.
In exchange, the Fighting Saints will receive four draft picks across the next two seasons: 2023 Phase I - 2nd round, 2024 Phase II - 1st round, 2024 Phase I - 5th round, and a conditional 2024 draft pick.
General Manager & President of Hockey Operations Kalle Larsson felt the Fighting Saints were in a good position to make this deal.
"We feel comfortable with our goaltending situation," Larsson said. "However, it was important for us to get a prospect like Michael Hrabal into the USHL to continue his college path. This transaction with Omaha benefits both parties involved."
"Paxton Geisel is returning to Dubuque for another season, and we are confident in his abilities," Larsson stated.
The Fighting Saints will face-off with the Omaha Lancers on September 25th at the USHL's Fall Classic - held annually at the UPMC Lemieux Sports Complex in Cranberry Township, PA.
